Today I start a new job working as a Support Technician for WooThemes.

I'm so very excited because working for WooThemes is going to be an amazing experience. I can tell just from a few Skype conversations that everyone on the team is as passionate and excited about WordPress as I am – and I love that. The passion isn't just about WordPress but it's about making a quality product and sharing that product with people to make their lives better. It sounds a little cheesy but without that drive what's the point? I'm so looking forward to getting up everyday and contributing to a product that thousands of people know and love.

From a professional development standpoint this is also going to be interesting because I'll be doing support which I've never done before. Moving from working on one large project at time to handling many support tickets at any one time will be different and I look forward to adapting to that and growing even more. In the long run I'm not sure what I want out of this new position but I'm confident that if I have skills in other areas that WooThemes will be happy to move me where my skill set it best utilized.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens. 🙂
